Viocen Acquires Wizones

High speed net access provider to hospitality industry secures its first
acquisition – sets technology vision for free high-speed Internet access in
hotels

Maynard, February 16, 2005 – Viocen, Inc., an emerging technology company
providing high-speed Internet access and related services to the hospitality industry,
today announced that it acquired Wizones, Inc. (based in Maynard, MA), a wireless
Internet service provider – for an undisclosed amount.

Viocen was founded in 2004 by a team of seasoned sales, marketing and product
development veterans with a track record of successful technology startups. The
company was built on the premise that the hospitality Internet access market was
ripe for a new type of provider – one that could offer the service with a very low cost
of operation but also with a very high level of reliability and security.

Most existing net access providers to the hospitality industry offer wired or wireless,
but not both. This forces many hotels to charge guests for net access or to provide
sub-par services. Studies have found that hotel guests are increasingly less tolerant
of sub-par or expensive net access at hotels, and are beginning to make net access a
factor in their travel plans. In some instances, hotels could also be subject to legal
liability under the CAN-SPAM act of 2003 for providing unreliable or un-secure netaccess
to their guests.

As part of the acquisition, Mehrdad Sheik, CEO of Wizones, continues at Viocen as
